So. It's been a few years since I last updated this blog, for those who... follow. Whoever's left. And you'll probably notice, it's been quiet. For several reasons.
For one, Chris "Sweetasnuts" Evans has finally done the impossible. Or entirely possible, which I and so many others called the moment he returned from his endeavours in India and decided he needed another money-spinner. He's run Miss Bimbo to the ground and ruined it entirely, not to mention, created a Frankenstein nightmare in its place. The name of it is Bimbolands.
I'm not even going to give him the courtesy of linking it here. If you want to know what it's like, feel free to go and check it out. Warning though: you need a Facebook account, and he embeds a little data-gathering app into your FB page to harvest and gather all the information about you, your lifestyle, your friends. Do you want a website like that to gather your information? Thought so.
It's heartbreaking, really. I joined Miss Bimbo when I was fifteen, and made several friends on there. A lot of them I still keep in touch with. It was where I learned to edit, and honed my writing skills. It's with great regret and sadness I move on, but customers vote with their feet, and I don't feel comfortable supporting anything Chris Evans does, given his track record.
This blog is going to stay up, for me mostly as a reminder of the happier days, and for others... I don't know. I never truly felt accepted on the Miss Bimbo community, save for the friends I made via the story-writing contests, and for that, I am entirely grateful for their presence and their company. But if you stumble upon this, and want to know why this stopped updating entirely... well, here you go. Thank you for the memories. And Chris Evans? I wish you stayed running your charity endeavours, your cafe, and kept your grubby hands away from that site.
